A 25 cm length foreign body in bladder– a case report

Introduction: We presented a special case who put a 25 cm length sex toy through the urethra into his bladder.

Case presentation: This 46-year-old man without underlying disease put a sex toy into his urethra on 113/10/31 night. However, it slipped inside incidentally, and then he had dysuria and difficulty micturition afterward. Therefore, he went to urological clinic for help initially on 11/1 morning. K.U.B. X-ray confirmed a foreign body in his pelvic region, so he was referred to our hospital for further management. At our ER, no fever was noted, and blood test revealed no specific finding. Pelvis CT reported foreign body in the urinary bladder, with bladder injury and penis edema. Under the impression of foreign body in urinary bladder and injury, he was admitted for surgical intervention on 11/1. Under the cystoscopy, one 25cm foreign body in the urinary bladder and some mucosa break on bladder dome were found, and the foreign body was removed by forceps smoothly. After observation for 1 day, no hematuria was recorded, so we removed his Foley catheter and he was discharged on 11/2.

Discussion: We presented a special case who put a 25 cm length sex toy through the urethra into his bladder. This is a largest foreign body put in a mlae bladder ever recorded in our hospital.
