Introduction and case: Intracavernosal self-injection was first described in 1982, but retained needle is a rare complication during intracavernosal injection. We reported a 69-year-old man, who has suffered from retained needle during intracavernosal injection for ejectile dysfunction. Although initially identified the retained needle on the plan X ray in the emergency room is efficient, we also used intra-operative C-arm to localize the location of needle. Combined C-arm and ultrasound is an effective way for guiding the location of the deep seated needle.
Conclusion: The patient must be attention on the technique on the delicacy of the needle to prevent complications.
