Purely Transurethral suture cystorrhaphy for vesical fistula repair

Purpose: To our experience of transurethral repair of vesical fistula and bladder perforation.

Materials and Methods: Vesicovaginal fistula (VVF) and vesicouterine fistula is a common complication following gynecological surgery. We performed purely transurethral suture cystorrhaphy (TUSC) for fistula repair and cystorrhaphy for iatrogenic trauma by using amplaz sheath, nephroscope and mini-laparoscopic needle holder. The procedure was accomplished without cystostomy troca assistance.

Results: These patients have had successful resolution of urine leakage after undergoing transurethral repair.

Conclusions: Purely Transurethral suture cystorrhaphy is a safe and effective option in experienced hands.
