High-Flow Priapism : a Case Report and literature review

Purpose: To our experience of high-flow priapism.
Materials and Methods: A 19-year-old man present to our clinic for persistent penile erection after perineum blunt injury. During Angiography, extravasation of contrast medium from the left cavernoseal artery of the left penile artery was noted. We performed therapeutic embolization for him.
Results: Angiographies of bilateral internal iliac arteries were performed 2 years later. No contrast medium pooling around the penile region was noted.
Conclusions: Embolization is a safer, efficacious and minimally invasive treatment of high-flow priapism.
