Abstract:
A 43-year-old male with a history of Right indirect type inguinal hernia. Open right inguinal hernioplasty was done in 2019. After the operation, the patient complained of persistent right inguinal pain everyday. Nerve entrapment was initially impressed. Thus, we had performed laparoscopic right inguinal hernia mesh debridement. After the operation, the right inguinal pain relieved more.
Pain following hernia surgery is common but should subside within approximately 2 months. Post-hernioplasty neuralgia should be considered if prolonging pain was noted. We reported this case with chronic post hernioplasty pain and subsided after debridement.
