Simultaneous urothelial carcinoma of urinary bladder and renal cell carcinoma- one case report with literature review

This 59 years old male suffered from intermittent painless gross hematuria for about one year, but he didn’t visit urological doctor for help.
Unfortunately, the hematuria become worse even with blood clots noted recently, besides there was some discomfort during voiding, so he came to our outpatient department, series examination including IVP, urine cytology was performed and revealed positive finding. Cystoscopic examination with biopsy showed urothelial carcinoma (high grade) so he was advised to received further evaluation and management. During stage work up a small renal mass was found by CT scan (RCC is likely). Then he was admitted for further treatment. We’ll discuss the management of this patient and review of the literature.
