Prevalence of urolithiasis occurrence at a Metropolitan Hospital

Purpose: To investigate the prevalence of urolithiasis from otherwise healthy subjects whom underwent physical check-up examination at our hospital.
Materials and Methods: A total of ___ healthy subjects were enrolled in this study. There were ___ males and ___ females, aged between ___ and ___ years whom received physical check-up at our hospital between December 2015 and November 2016. The medical records were reviewed whereby urolithiasis were detected by either, sonography of abdomen or KUB examination.
Results: Overall, a total of ____ cases of urinary stone were found, with a prevalence of ___%. Of the ___ cases, ____ were renal stone, ____ ureteral stone and ____ vesical stone. ____ kidney and ____ ureteral stones were found over the right side; ____ kidney and ____ ureteral stones over the left side. The size of ____ renal stones were < 1 cm.
Conclusion: The results of this study showed a prevalence of ___% urinary stones in physical check-up subjects, with the majority being renal stones in our hospital.
