Case report:
The treatment for prostate abscesses includes a combination of antimicrobial therapy and surgical drainage of the abscess cavity. This is a case report describing a successful treatment that combined transurethral incision of prostate and double J catheter drainage for prostate abscess in a 20-year-old young male. After a year of follow-up, the patient healed well and no residual abscess or sexual dysfunction were demonstrated.

Discussion:
Majority of prostate abscess occur in diabetic and immunocompromised patients and clinical presentation is variable, but can include: fever, irritative voiding symptoms and a tender prostate on digital rectal exam. Recommended treatment includes, transurethral resection of the abscess or transrectal ultrasound guided drainage with appropriate antibiotic therapy, as well as supportive care. Despite undergoing the standard therapy with aggressive transurethral resection of the prostate, the residual abscess were still found in previous reports. To our knowledge, this is the first report of its kind, utilizing double-J catheter drainage to facilitate drainage of prostatic abscess.

Conclusion:
Combined transurethral incision of prostate and double J catheter drainage for prostate abscess is a safe and effective method in young man with prostate abscess
