Introduction:
Either plasmacytoma or multiple myeloma as a solitary lesion, it was a really rare case. There were published case reports of plasmaytoma or multiple myeloma of testicles, but cases of spermatic cord were even rearer. We introduced as case of spermatidc cord plasma cell neoplasm, which was misdiagnosed as inguinal hernia.
Case presentation:
A 72-year-old male, who has hypertension, had found his right testis elevated and there was palpable mass over right inguinal area in 2017. He went to out hospital and right inguinal hernia was diagnosed after checked by computer tomography scan. The patient came to our clinic on February 2019. We performed right orchiectomy for him, firm and hard spermatic cord was noted and right testis over inguinal area was found during the operation. In the end, pathology report showed plasma cell neoplasm and there need more evidence to identify which kind of neoplasm it was. Computer tomography scans found one small osteolytic lesion over left iliac bone but the lesion was stationary since it was also noted 1 year ago. Further exam or procedure was ongoing for the exact diagnosis.
Conclusion:
Always beware of uncommon lesion while diagnosing inguinal hernia. Only the right diagnosis can lead to the correct therapy or management.
