A case with penile squamous cell carcinoma

Background:
Penile cancer is an uncommon disease and the most common penile malignancy is Squamous cell carcinoma .
Case presentation:
A 51-year-old male without any past history was suffered from small papillary lesion and bloody discharge off and on for about one month. He received Biopsy for tumor and pathology revealed Squamous cell carcinoma. Due to fear for penile operation at first , he received Neoajuvent chemotherapy. Including Cisplain, Bleomycin, Ifosfamine three courses, and Taxotere, Epirubicin one Course . He received circumcision operation six months later due to perpuse meatus severe stricture that induced difficult for voiding . Circumcision pathology revealed Squamous cell carcinoma persist Tumor persist glowing and invade from glans to penile shaft during chemotherapy period , he decided to receive partial penectomy . Pathology revealed Squamous cell carcinoma , pT2. Penile wound healed well and P’t discharged 5 days later after operation . During 2 months follow up period , Patient has good voiding function, but sill has some psychological issue .
Conclusion:
Patients with carcinoma of the penis tend to delay seeking medical attention, with 15-50% delaying medical attention for more than 1 year from onset. Superficial penile carcinoma is typically managed with local resection, often with just a circumcision, whereas invasive disease is treated with partial or total penectomy and bilateral lymphadenectomy. We didn’t perform bilateral lymphadenectomy due to no palpable bil inguinal lymphadenopathy, and we needed to close follow up the disase progression.
