Single-site gasless laparoscopic surgery for urologic surgery

Abstract:

There are more and more reports of gasless laparoscopic surgery for patients with urologic neoplasms. We present 5 cases of single-site gasless laparoscopic surgery for urologic surgery .

    Laparoscopic surgery of the urologic system become mature in recent days. The blood loss can be controled by ultrsonic device or the double loop appratus in the laparoscopic surgery. During the laparoscopic surgery,the pneumoperitoneum created carbon dioxide inflation may cause some adverse effect,including pulmonary embolism,ischemic heart disorder and decreased renal perfusion.Gasless single port laparoscopic surgery is a feasible way to avoid  the  complications caused by carbon dioxide pneumoperitoneum.

The disadvantage of the gasless single port surgery is the difficulty for maintaning the suggical field,we use the wound retractor to maintain the surgical field.
