Adult ureterocele with large stone formation post endoscopic-laser incision, a 5-years follow-up and literature review

Purpose: To our experience of endoscopic-laser incision of adult ureterocele

Materials and Methods: Two patients visited our urological department due to flank pain with hematuria. One patient has ureterocele with 1.7cm stone formation and the other has multiple stones in a ureterocele. Transurethral ureterocele incision (TUI) with laser of the ureterocele was performed to both of them.

Results: During 5 years of follow up, there was no symptoms of urolithiasis but mild dilatation of distal ureter was noted with intravenous pyelography.

Conclusions: Transurethral ureterocele incision (TUI) with laser of the ureterocele is a safe procedure with a satisfactory short-term outcome.
