Introduction:
Robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery had been widespread used in various surgery all over the world especially in the urological filed. Following robotic machine development with disadvantage improvement, the more easy, feasible and convenient surgery and less cost and complication became possible when using the 4th generation newest robotic system. Herein, we report our initial experience at E-Da cancer hospital using Da Vinci Xi surgical system and compared the clinical complication ,cost and benefit.
Material and Method:
Using the 4th generation Da Vinci System to perform various urological surgery. From April 1, 2016 to now, we collected the patients’ clinical information, complication, and associated cost etc.
Result:
From April 1, 2016 to now, we constructed the 4th Da Vinci Xi system to perform 30 various urological robotic surgery including prostatectomy 15 cases, nephro-ureterectomy 3 cases, adrenectomy 3 cases, cystectomy 2 cases, bilateral herniorrhaphy 2 cases, nephrolithotomy 2 case, partial nephrectomy 1 case, ureteral cancer s/p ureterouretostomy 1 case, and pyeloplasty 1 case. Initial results presented that the 4thgeneration Da Vinci system is more easily operated, less docking time, more convenient approach to deep surgical field and difficult case without increasing patient's cost and complication.
Conclusion:
Using the 4th generation newest Da Vinci system can let surgeon more comfortable, convenient and easy to perform the difficult surgery without more complication and cost even though the surgeon is a beginner. Intact description will be presented in future.
