Purpose:
We report one case with three complex calyceal diverticular stones, and managed with da Vinci Xi surgical system. With the intraoperative ultrasound assistance, total one hundred and thirty stones were grasped out.
Case:
A 56 year-old male presented with right flank pain for long time. KUB showed multiple small renal stones in right lower kidney. CT confirmed three right calyceal diverticulums containing multiple sandy stones. Robot assisted laparoscopic diverticulectomy and stones extraction was performed. Because the diverticulums were peripheral, and renal hillar control was not necessary. During operation, we used laparoscopic ultrasound to help to identify each diverticlums meticulously. Total one hundred and thirty stones were grasped out. Post-OP KUB showed no residual stones. Using da Vinci Xi surgical system with intraoperative ultrasound can help manage complex calyceal diverticular stones in one session with satisfactory result.
